‘Touch Wood – 2007’ in Aghalee, Ballinderry and Broomhedge

Tuesday February 13th 2007

A week of mission and outreach entitled ‘Touch Wood – 2007’ will be held from Saturday February 24 to Sunday March 4 at three Connor parish churches:  Holy Trinity in Aghalee, Ballinderry Parish and St Matthew’s, Broomhedge. 

The mission team comprises Roger Murphy, a Church Army Captain from Warwick, England; the Rev Paul Hoey, a former rector of Ballinamallard who now works for the Church Pastoral Aid Society, and John O’Neill and Karen Webb who are with the Church Army and have a particular ministry to children and young people through puppets, juggling, clowning and music.
 
The events have been jointly organised by the rectors of the three parishes who can be contacted for further information as follows:  Rev Simon Doogan 028 9265 1233; Rev Canon Ernest Harris 028 9265 1310 and Rev Peter Galbraith 028 9262 1229.  Everyone will be most welcome at all of these events.

Saturday February 24
Broomhedge:  ‘Family Social & Fun Night’ in St Matthew’s Church Hall at 7.30pm

Sunday February 25
Aghalee:  Morning Service at 10.30am and Evening Service at 6.30pm
Ballinderry:  Morning Service at 11.30am
Broomhedge:  Morning Service at 11.30am

Monday February 26
Aghalee:  ‘Bowlers’ Knockout Night’ in the Parish Hall at 7.30pm

Tuesday February 27
Ballinderry:  ‘Seniors’ Lunch’ at 12noon
Broomhedge:  ‘Lads’ Night In’ – Church Hall at 8.00pm

Wednesday February 28
Aghalee:  ‘Seniors’ Lunch’ – Parish Hall at 12noon
Ballinderry:  ‘Girls’ Night Out’ – Parish Hall at 8.00 pm

Thursday March 1
Broomhedge:  ‘Seniors’ Lunch’ in the Church Hall at 12noon
Edenmore Golf Club:  ‘Couples’ Night’ (numbers limited) at 7.30pm

Friday March 2
Broomhedge:  ‘Kidz’ Time Out’ in the Church Hall at 6.30 – 8.00pm
(for all young people of primary school age)
Ballinderry:  ‘Praise Party’ with Johnny Parks and Band in the Parish Hall at 8.00pm.  (for teens and young adults)

SaturdayMarch 3
Aghalee:  ‘Broadwater Boys’ Bacon Buttie Bash’ in the Parish Hall at 8.00 – 9.15am
Moira: ‘Family Tea and Quiz Night’ in St John’s Parish Centre (Main Street) Moira at 6.00 – 8.30pm.

Sunday March 4
Aghalee:  Morning Service at 11.30am
Ballinderry: Morning Service at 10.30am and Evening Service at 7.00pm
Broomhedge:  Morning Service at 11.30am
