Welcome for Youth for Christ Summerserve in Lisburn

The Youth for Christ Summerserve team was introduced at Lisburn Cathedral on Sunday July 22 by the rector, the Rev Canon Sam Wright.

Members come from Lisburn, Antrim, Ballymena, Newtownards, Whitehead, America and Germany.  Led by Craig Hutton and Zara Wortley (Lisburn Cathedral) the team spent the first week doing community work and conducting children’s clubs in Hillhall. On Thursday and Friday , July 26 and 27, the organised Fusion Discos in Lisburn Cathedral Church Hall.

From Monday July 30 to Friday August 3 the team will assist leaders John O’Neil and Karen Webb (Church Army) at the Holiday Bible Club ‘Waste Watchers’ in Lisburn Cathedral Church Hall. 

Catering for children of primary school age, the club will run each day from 10.30am to 12.00pm and the fun packed week of songs, quizzes, dance and games will conclude on Sunday August 5 with a Children’s Bible Week Service in Lisburn Cathedral at 11am.
