SUMMARY:Parish Piecemakers quilting exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The Parish Piecemakers quilting group from St Cedma’s\, Larne\, will hold an exhibition of work in the Carnegie Museum and Arts Centre in Larne from Good Friday\, March 29 until April 27. \nThe centre is open weekdays from 10am-4pm including Easter Monday and Tuesday and Saturday March 30 and April 6 and 27. \nOn Saturday April 6\, you can have a full quilting day out – St Cedma’s Church will be open between 10.30am and 12 noon for visitors to see the Easter Quilts created for the church in 2019 and can then move on to the Carnegie where they are holding a special celebration for Carnegie Day – in addition to the quilt display\, there will be a range of events for both adults and children between 1pm and 3pm. \nThe display will show individual pieces from the current members together with a number of group projects stitched specially for this event. These include examples of St Cedma’s beautiful Victorian encaustic tiles and a recreation\, by 11 members working together of one of Norman Wilkinson’s iconic 1930s tourist posters of the promenade in Larne.

SUMMARY:First Things conference
DESCRIPTION:First Things is a purposeful gathering of evangelicals in the Church of Ireland taking place on Saturday April 27 in St John’s Parish Centre\, Moira.  \nIt will be a day dedicated to teaching and renewing our faith and is specifically designed for those from the Church of Ireland who are passionate about the Gospel\, disciple–making\, and deepening in biblical truth. It will offer an opportunity to connect with like–minded individuals\, forge new visions for growth\, and inspire the next generation of evangelical leaders. \nThe conference is open to clergy and church leaders and to all church members who wish to participate in this vision–renewing experience. \nKeynote speakers are Archbishop Justin Badi\, left\, and Canon John McGinley. \nThe conference is privileged to welcome Archbishop Justin Badi and Canon John McGinley as keynote speakers. \nArchbishop Justin\, serving as the Primate of South Sudan and a pivotal figure in the Global South Fellowship of Anglican Churches\, will inaugurate the sessions with a bible reading and discuss the core principles of evangelism within the Anglican tradition. \nCanon John McGinley\, who spearheads the ambitious Myriad initiative aimed at planting 10\,000 new churches\, will delve into the vital role evangelicals play in the Anglican church and propose a revitalised approach to engage both current and future generations. \nTickets \nThe registration fee is £15\, with a concessionary rate of £10 for individuals under 23 or undergoing training\, which includes lunch and refreshments. \nReserve a place AT THIS LINK \nFirst Things is the collective ministry of CIEF\, New Wine\, EFIC\, and SAFE – the main evangelical groupings within the Church of Ireland.
