The Rev Ray Simpson, from Holy Island, Lindisfarne, will lead a special weekend programme at St Nicholas Parish Church, Lisburn Road, Belfast, on the weekend of November 24-26.
The Celtic Spirituality Weekend, sponsored by the Diocese of Connor, gets underway on the Friday morning with a session for clergy and church workers Tools for inspired leadership – a vision for the future, commencing at 10.30am..
At 7.30pm Rev Simpson will deliver his address on the theme Celtic Spirituality for the 21st Century.
The following morning workshops will be held in three areas: Roots – Celtic Christian Heritage; Rhythms – the Christian faith as a radical way of living; Relationships – the way of the Soul Friend.
On Sunday there will be a service at 11am – A Celtic Eucharish and the theme of the 7pm Service will be the healing of the land. Both services will use liturgies from the communion on Holy Island.
