Information on services and outreach during Covid-19 crisis
Weekly Online Sunday Service – This is recorded on a Friday or Saturday and posted on YouTube and Facebook on Sunday mornings.
Online Sunday School – Weekly on Zoom at noon every Sunday hosted by Sunday School leader. Pictures are posted on Sunday School Facebook page.
Youth Fellowship Online – Fortnightly on Zoom at 7.30pm on Sunday. Basic games / quiz / youth alpha video / chat.
Bible Study Online – Weekly on Zoom at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings, (from April. 28). Going through the Discipleship Explored 8-week course.
Midweek Online Devotional – By the rector (usually each Wednesday or Thursday) for 5 to 10 minutes and posted on Facebook.
Prayer Group – The prayer team is continuing to contact each other for prayer over the phone and of sharing prayer requests.
Community Help – The parish has a team of around 20 volunteers who are phoning around about 120 of our most vulnerable parishioners on a weekly basis, to ensure they do not feel forgotten by their church, and to see if they need any practical or pastoral help.
CDs of Services – CDs are sent fortnightly to parishioners who are not online (around 50 parishioners).
Monthly Letter – All parishioners receive a hard copy letter/notice sheet, with encouragement and details of what the parish is doing.
Finances – In correspondence and on online services the parish is encouraging parishioners to contribute financially by setting up Standing Orders or online donations. For Free Will Offering envelopes parishioners are asked to hold on to these until door-to-door collections are permitted.
