Parish of Mallusk (St Brigid’s, Glengormley) – Priest-in-Charge

The Parish of Mallusk is situated in the busy suburb of Glengormley, just to the north-west of Belfast.

St Brigid’s Church meets in a modern church building which currently serves approximately 120 families. The congregation are looking for a Priest-in-Charge who is ‘a Christ-centred leader who will promote the Gospel, inspire and motivate people and grow Christ’s Kingdom’ among them.

The Bishop of Connor wishes to appoint a colleague who will be an enthusiastic team-player, working collaboratively with the existing lay leadership of the parish and neighbouring clergy to build the Church of Ireland witness in this part of Newtownabbey.

Curate – St Paul & St Barnabas, York Street, Belfast

The Bishop of Connor wishes to appoint a Curate to serve in a new Team Ministry centred on the parishes of St Peter & St James, Antrim Road, and St Paul & St Barnabas, York Street, Belfast.

The Curate will serve alongside the Rev Brian Lacey, Rector of St Peter & St James, who will provide support and leadership to the team, and a number of lay leaders.

The team ministry is a new initiative, one of a number of projects which aim to support and grow the church across the city of Belfast.

The main focus of the Curate’s ministry will be the Parish of St Paul & St Barnabas, where they will be the principal clerical point of contact for the parishioners. As the parish seeks to strengthen its connections in the community, a heart for outreach is essential. The position would be particularly suitable for a colleague seeking a second curacy.

St Patrick’s, Jordanstown – SPACE Development Leader (St Patrick’s Adults Children Everyone)

Jordanstown Parish Church wishes to appoint a Development Leader (24 hours per week) for SPACE (St Patrick’s Adults Children Everyone). This is a parish of approximately 350 families, situated in the middle of a growing population of young families, with easy access to Belfast and good transport links by train and bus to all parts of Northern Ireland.

The parish recognises the need to significantly develop an outreach to an ever increasingly unchurched community and the need to create a relevant and vibrant worship along with an expressive form of teaching, enabling people who find traditional models of church challenging to engage with.

The growth and development of SPACE will help to further the vision and mission of St Patrick’s.

The Parish of Templepatrick and Donegore is seeking to appoint an organist for St Patrick’s (Templepatrick) who will lead the congregation in both traditional and contemporary styles of worship within an Anglican context. The church has a SATB choir and a fine single manual Holditch organ.
