Ballynure and Ballyeaston (Ballyclare) Parish Information:
Information on services and outreach during Covid-19 crisis
At a community level across the Greater Ballyclare area, we have set up a ministry called ‘Together’ – Together Ballyclare, Together Doagh, Together Burnside, Together Ballyrobert etc. This has been done in conjunction with the Northern Health & Social Care Trust and the Community Development Health Network. In partnership with many of the churches in the area we now have approximately 200 volunteers offering services to the vulnerable including collecting prescriptions, shopping, delivering weekly Government Food parcels, phoning people who are lonely etc. On average we are receiving 100 referrals per week.
Online – we have developed a brand new website which makes sermons, videos etc much more accessible www.theunitedparish.org.uk
Families’ Associate Dianne Hamilton has created a blog where our young people are giving updates on what it’s like to be on lockdown . There is also an Instagram account used for regular encouragement to our teenagers.
Every day we are hosting a Late Evening Office at 8.30pm, and on Sundays we have our main service at 11am. This is all accessed through the website or through our YouTube channel.
From April 26, there will be an online Kid’s Church service from 10.30am
We now have a regular weekly bible study each Wednesday night using Zoom, and we have weekly Youth Bible study on Wednesday afternoons.
