A very successful fashion show was held in Agherton Parish Centre, Portstewart, on Friday November 3.
The event was organised to raise money for the Mongo School Project in Connor’s link diocese of Yei in Southern Sudan.
In a three year project, Agherton parish has committed to building a school in Yei at an approximate cost of £20,000.
Curate Assistant the Rev Niall Sloane said the parish was well within target and the fashion show raised more than £1,000 on the evening.
Niall was raising funds in a different way in September when he took part in a tandem parachute jump at the Wild Geese Airfield in Aghadowey.
His 10,000ft leap of faith helped Niall collect more than £700 for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
