Mayor is special guest at Christ Church

The Rector, the Rev Paul Dundas conducted the service assisted by the Curate, the Rev Diane Matchett.

Rev Dundas sounded a special welcome to the Mayor and Mayoress, and in response, the Mayor spoke about his visits to several churches in the Lisburn area and about his Mayoral Theme to make ‘Lisburn a City for everyone’ and the need to embrace diversity.

In his address Rev Dundas took as his text the words of Jesus, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” 

Sonia Black and the Parish’s praise group ‘Salt’ led the praise.  The congregational hymns included ‘Wonderful Lord, wonderful God’ and ‘There is a higher throne’.
