The Swedish clergy group takes in the view at the Giant's Causeway.A 12-strong group of clergy from Connor’s link diocese of Linkoping in Sweden held a training seminar at Stranmillis College, Belfast.

The group arrived on Sunday May 6, and were based at the college for the duration of their visit.

Although the Swedes had organised this trip independently, they spent Tuesday afternoon with rectors from three Connor parishes.  The Rev Paul Lyons, Greenisland; the Rev Edith Quiry, St Stephen and St Luke’s and the Rev Terry Kerr, St Aidan’s, were all invited to make a presentation on life in their parishes for the Swedish visitors.

The Swedish visitors get to know the Rev Neil Phair and parishioners from Dunseverick and Ballintoy. The three Connor clergy also joined with the clergy from their link diocese for dinner that night.

During the week they also visited Church of Ireland House and St Anne’s Cathedral, and on Thursday Connor Diocesan Training Co-ordinator took them on a tour of the north coast and the Bushmills Distillery.

Connor’s link with Linkoping was established in 1997.
