40 year celebrations for Canon Bell

To mark the 40th anniversary of his Ordination, the Rev Canon William Bell received a surprise presentation from Geoffrey Simpson, Rector’s Churchwarden (right) and Jack Price, People’s Churchwarden (left).The Rev Canon William Bell, rector of Eglantine Parish, received a surprise presentation to mark the 40th anniversary of his Ordination after Morning Prayer on Sunday June 24.
 
Mr Geoffrey Simpson, who made the presentation, paid tribute to the rector’s commitment and dedication in the parish and wider community during the previous 18 years.

Canon Bell was ordained for the curacy of St Mark’s, Newtownards, and has served in Larne, Ballymena and Ardoyne. He was instituted in the Parish Church of All Saints’ Eglantine in March 1989.
