Divine Healing Ministries have organised two forthcoming events.
The first is a morning of teaching on prayer to take place from 10am to 20m on Saturday January 26 in St Finnian’s Church, Cregagh.
This will be hosted by the Bishop of Down and Dromore, the Rt Rev Harold Millar, with talks by Brother David Jardine of Divine Healing Ministries.
From 10am-noon there will be teaching, questions, and practice of prayer. Lunch will take place from noon until 1pm. Tea and coffee will be provided but participants are asked to bring their own packed lunch. The morning will close with a final session on prayer from 1pm-2pm.
The event is free, although participants will be able to make a voluntary contribution and CDs of the talks will be available for purchase.
The second event is a Season of Prayer and Fasting for Lent 2008, when Bro Jardine will again work with Bishop Millar encouraging clergy and lay people to fast and pray one day per week during lent for ‘our country, our Church, ourselves”
Anyone taking part will be given a card which they can sign, and Bro Jardine will be writing to clergy of all denominations in Northern Ireland asking them to support the venture.
“Prayer and fasting is the most powerful spiritual combination that we have, but fasting is also the most neglected of all spiritual disciplines,” said Bro Jardine.
More information on either event is available from Divine Healing Ministries at 32 Townsend Street, Belfast, BT13 2ES, telephone 028 9031 1532 or visit the website www.divinehealing.org.uk.
