Rev Moreen Hutchinson with the Bishop on the chancel steps of St Patrick's Glenarm. The Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, joined the Rev Moreen Hutchinson for her three services of Morning Prayer in the beautiful Glens of Antrim on Sunday February 10.

The first service was at Layde Parish church in Cushendall at 9am.  A quick drive southward then for the 10.30am service at St Mary's church, Ardclinis parish in Carnlough and finally on to St Patrick's church, Tickmacrevan parish in Glenarm for a 12 noon service.

Good congregations turned out at all three churches to meet the new bishop.  Everyone gained a lot from the sermon which was very pertinent for the first Sunday in Lent.

To round off a hectic morning Bishop Alan and his wife Liz were guests of the rector and parishioners at a lunch in the Londonderry Arms Hotel, Carnlough.  Members from all three congregations took advantage of the opportunity to meet informally with Bishop Alan and Liz.
