Bishop and rector join MU’s marathon walk
For a fourth consecutive year, Connor MU vice president Kathleen Rodgers is organising a group to do the nine mile charity walk as part of the Belfast Marathon.
This time they have roped the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, his wife Liz, and the Rev Robin Moore, rector of St Mark’s, Ballysillan, into joining them!
The group also includes MU member Lorraine Watt from Ballymena and Diocesan President Moira Thom from Lisburn.
This year’s event, starting at the City Hall as usual, takes place on the May Day Bank Holiday, Monday May 5.
Money raised by the MU members will be donated to the MU Relief Fund and will be used specifically for emergencies and disasters such as war, famine and flood. Bishop Alan, Liz and Robin will be raising funds for Connor's Yei project.
