Spring musical evening at Derryvolgie Parish church
Members and visitors to Derryvolgie Parish church on the evening of Friday April 18 enjoyed a great evening of gospel and popular music intermingled with an abundant supply of humorous stories and jokes.
The ‘Spring Musical’ evening was organised by the Parish’s social and outreach committee and the programme, which was compered by local man Andy Sproule, featured David Major (Lisburn), Alan Murphy (Annahilt), Des McVeigh (Bangor) and the Parish’s own talented praise group, the Derryvolgie Singers led by Graham Murphy on piano and James Hamilton on guitar.
The special guest was 14-year-old singer Julia Clarke from Belfast.
Supper was served during the interval of the fundraising concert and proceeds will be used to support the maintenance and upkeep of the church property.
