Connor Diocesan Synod 2008 took place in St Brigid’s, Glengormley, on Tuesday June 24.
Members heard the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, outline how the church had much to do to break down the ‘walls and barriers’ of deep and painful division.
In his Presidential Address the Bishop highlighted community concerns with housing, education and the homeless and appealed, on behalf of people who felt they had no voice to the Stormont Assembly to take action in these areas.
