Changes ahead for Diocesan Training Council
The last meeting of the Diocesan Training Council as it is presently constituted was held over lunch in the Comfort Inn Junction One on Monday December 1.
A new constitution has been agreed with the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy and Connor Diocesan Council and will come into force on January 1 2009.
The new Training Council will have a small Executive Committee to help develop the diocesan strategy for training and to initiate the work of several Project Working Groups. These Working Groups will be project focused and of limited duration. Initially groups will be set up to consider training opportunities and needs in the three areas of Growth, Unity and Service.
Membership of the new Training Council is under consideration and individuals will be invited by the Bishop to join the Executive or one or more Working Groups.
