Sponsored walk plan for Chapter’s 400th anniversary
The Chapter of St Saviour, Connor in Lisburn Cathedral, will celebrate the 400th Anniversary of its foundation in 2009.
To mark this significant occasion the Dean and Chapter will participate in a sponsored walk from Belfast Cathedral to Lisburn Cathedral on Saturday June 6. The proceeds will go towards Connor’s link diocese of Yei in southern Sudan to provide much needed school accommodation.
A Celebration of Holy Communion will be held in Lisburn Cathedral on Tuesday June 8 when the preacher will be the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, Bishop of Connor, and this will be followed by a Chapter Dinner.
