Valentine’s Dinner at Holy Trinity Woodburn

Thursday February 19th 2009

Love was in the air at Holy Trinity Woodburn on February 14, when the parish fundraising committee organised a Valentine’s Dinner.

This was both a social evening and a fund raising event, and was not exclusively for couples, as the photographs reveal.

Each lady received a red rose and each gentleman a packet of Lovehearts.  There were prizes for those who found an envelope stuck under their seat, and these included a dinner for two at a local Indian restaurant, two first class return rail tickets to Dublin, a massage, and a manicure.

Live music was provided by Mr David Cumming, a parishioner, and three couples 'revived' Mr and Mrs for the evening.  The evening proved very successful and a substantial amount of money was raised for the building fund debt.
