There will be an exciting series of healing services organised by Divine Healing Ministries in Belfast during the month of May.
The speakers will be a team from the city of Cali in Colombia, South America. Cali is one of the drug capitals not just of South America but of the whole world, and is a very violent city. During a ten year period 18,000 people were killed there, while in Colombia as a whole 40,000 were killed in the year of 2001 alone. Yet alongside this drug-trafficking and violence there is a vibrant spiritual movement.
Brother David Jardine, Director of Divine Healing Ministries, took a team to Cali in 2008. He said: “The Church is growing rapidly in Colombia. Twice a year in Cali they have all-night prayer vigils in a football stadium which holds 55,000 and many have to be turned away.
“We were in a church which had 1,500 at their services three times every Sunday. They were hoping to double those numbers before the end of the year. We found that people were very open and willing to receive prayer, even in public places.”
A team of five is coming from Cali, led by Pastor Hendrick Hoere, an outstanding leader, originally from Holland.
On Mondays May 11 and 18 they will be speaking in St Anne’s Cathedral at 8pm and in St George’s Church, High Street (near the Albert Clock) at 1pm. On Tuesdays May 12 and 19 they will speak in St Finnian’s Church, near the top of Cregagh Road at 8pm.
Bro Jardine said: “These are all men whose faith has been developed in very difficult circumstances. You will be very welcome to come and hear them speak. You will not be disappointed.”
Personal prayer for healing and the anointing with oil will be available at all of these services.
