Hillsborough Castle will be the venue on Thursday May 28 for a reception and piano recital hosted by the Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Rev Alan Harper and Mrs Helen Harper.
The event will be in support of the work of the Intercontinental Church Society. The Society plants new Anglican churches and enables mission initiatives among English speaking people of all nationalities. Today in continental Europe and North Africa, ICS is being asked to expand its ministry and these new opportunities will require increased resources
Proceeds from the reception will help support a new church in Northern Cyprus, ministry to international students in European cities, the first Area Bishop of North Africa and outreach to the international community in Cairo.
The piano recital is by Lauretta Bloomer, who performs regularly with the Gelders, Netherlands Philharmonic and Chamber, and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestras. This will be her first visit to Ireland and she comes as an active member of the ICS family. The reception should allow some time to view the spring blossoms in the Castle gardens.
