St John’s Parish Church, Donegore, is celebrating its 350th anniversary this year.
To mark the occasion, the parish is hosting a weekend of celebration on June 6 and 7.
There will be an exhibition celebrating ‘350 Years of Life and Worship in Donegore’ in the Parish Hall in Templepatrick on Saturday June 6 from 12 noon until 4pm, and the church will be open during that time for visitors. A shuttle bus service will run from the hall to the church, and refreshments will be served in the hall.
During the hours of the exhibition, visitors to the church will be treated to organ music, courtesy of several visiting organists.
On Sunday June 7 there will be a service of celebration at 3.30pm, and the preacher will be the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy.
The Rector of Templepatrick and Donegore, the Rev Jennifer Bell, said St John’s Parish welcomes everyone to the weekend of celebration.
