A prayer marathon will be launched in St. Anne’s Cathedral on Saturday, June 20 from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
The interdenominational Divine Healing Ministries is organising seven years of prayer for spiritual revival in this land. People from across the community will be taking part.
The launch of the initiative will take place exactly 150 years after the 1859 revival which many still look to as a spiritual landmark in the history of this country.
Brother David Jardine, one of the organisers of the prayer for revival, said: “We are being led on June 20 by people who have travelled with us for many years in organising prayer for this country. The Rev Jim Rea, former President of the Methodist Church in Ireland, will lead the first session at 10.30am. Other contributors include David O’Connor, David Packie Hamilton, Michael Perrott, the Rev Ruth Patterson, and the Rev Ciaran Dallat.”
Refreshments will be available in the Cathedral Hall throughout the day.
