Four Priests ordained in St Barnabas’ Day service

Four new Priests were ordained in the Diocese of Connor in a service held in St Thomas’s Parish Church, Belfast, on June 11.

The ordinations, on St Barnabas’ Day, were conducted by the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy. Preacher was the Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe, the Rt Rev Trevor Williams.

The new Priests are: The Rev Mark Niblock for the Curacy of Agherton, Portstewart; the Rev Martin Hilliard, for the Curacy of Larne and Inver with Glynn and Raloo; the Rev Helen MacArthur, in the Non-Stipendiary Ministry for the Curacy of Derriaghy and the Rev John Farr in the Non-Stipendiary Ministry for the Curacy of Muckamore, Killead and Gartree.

Trinitytide Ordinations continue on Wednesday June 24 with the ordination of five Deacons: Simon Genoe for the Curacy of Lisburn Cathedral; Alan Irwin for the Curacy of Ballymena and Ballyclug; Colin Welsh, for the Curacy of Jordanstown; Tracey McRoberts for the Curacy of St Thomas, Belfast; and Graham Nevin, in the Non-Stipendiary Ministry for the Curacy of Billy and Derrykeighan. The service will take place at 8pm in St Patrick’s Parish Church, Ballymena.
