MU Square Dance proves a great success

The Rev Sam Jones demonstrates the steps with MU membersAn MU Square Dance in St Patrick’s, Broughshane, was thoroughly enjoyed by the 70 plus dancers and some not so good dancers who ventured out on a cold and frosty evening on the last Friday in January.

The Rev Sam Jones, former rector of St Saviour’s Parish, Connor, had everyone who didn’t have a sick note from the doctor with them on the floor dancing.  He put all the dancers through their steps.

Ronnie McGowan meanwhile provided the ladies with the dance music on the accordion.  The dance raised £290 this and will be sent to the Worldwide Relief Fund.   This is the second such dance that Mid Connor Area MU has held and judging from the fun everyone had it may not be the last.
