Friday March 26th 2010

The Rev Alan McCann hands over a Study Bible for the Library at Bethel Royal High School in Nakasangola, the newest secondary school in the Fields of Life family. The school was built in January/February 2010 by Hope Builders, from Kilkeel. The Rev Alan McCann, rector of Holy Trinity Parish, Woodburn, Carrickfergus, travelled to Uganda during March for Fields of Life Discipleship Training.

During the trip, from March 10-23, Alan was training teachers, schools chaplains and students in setting up small group bible studies, evangelism and bible teaching.  Teachers and school chaplains came from schools in Uganda and Burundi to enjoy three days of training and fellowship.

During his second week in Africa, Alan travelled to several of the secondary schools within Uganda and enjoyed training young students in how to interpret the bible, apply it to their lives and share it with others.

He also lead a retreat day for the 50 pastors and their spouses of Kampala Full Gospel Church. This is the sixth visit Alan has made with Fields of Life to Uganda.  Anyone interested in finding out further information about Fields of Life should go to www.fieldsoflife.com
