Introduction of new chaplain at Queen’s
The Rev Barry Forde, former curate of St Patrick's and St Andrew's Coleraine, was introduced as Church of Ireland chaplain at Queen's University, Belfast at the Church of the Resurrection on Tuesday May 4 by the Rt Rev Harold Miller, Bishop of Down and Dromore.
The Rev Dr Maurice Elliott, Director of the Church of Ireland Theological Institute, Dublin, preached at the service which was attended by students, members of the congregation of the Church of the Resurrection, other chaplains, former parishioners from Coleraine, and many of Barry's friends and family.
As well as Bishop Miller, two other former chaplains were in attendance: The Ven Stephen Forde, Archdeacon of Dalriada, Diocese of Connor, and the Rev Canon Edgar Turner, Senior Diocesan Registrar, Connor.
