Connor Diocesan Synod postponed until September
Connor Diocesan Synod, which was due to take place on Tuesday, June 22, has been re-scheduled and will now take place on Thursday September 9.
The Executive of Connor Diocese took the decision to postpone the Synod as the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, has been advised by his doctor that he should not return to work after his recent surgery until at least early July.
The Bishop wishes to be able to attend Synod in order to deal with items of business as well as to lead on proposals for developments in the Diocese.
The rescheduled Synod will be held at St Patrick’s Parish, Ballymena, on September 9, commencing at 4.30pm with Holy Communion.
