Girlguiding celebrated in Broughshane

Admiring the centerary flowerbed in Broughshane.The centenary of Girlguiding UK was celebrated in a beautiful visual display of floral art in Broughshane.

The Parks Department of the Ballymena Borough Council in partnership with Broughshane Village Improvement Committee kindly designed a flowerbed especially for the Guides to mark the centenary year.

The Leader of St Patricks’ Girl Guides, Broughshane, Geraldine Linford accompanied by district Commissioner Margaret Ferguson and Joyce Bond, Brownie Leader are pictured with Sandy Wilson, Broughshane Village Improvement Committee and three girls representing the various age groups.  They are Sophie Dennison (Guide), Lauren McKillop (Brownie) and Ellie Doig (Rainbow) and the all stopped to admire the flower bed on the Knockan Road in the village.
