John saddles up for sponsored ride!
The Rev John Farr, curate assistant at Muckamore, Killead and Gartree parishes, will be saddling up on Saturday September 25 for a sponsored horse ride.
John is raising money for the restoration of the Church of Ireland, Foxford, in Co Mayo, which John has strong links with having been involved in joint activities with Foxford Parish in his previous capacity as community worker in Glenavy Parish.
Riders will depart from the 17th century Cloongee House outside Foxford at 2pm and follow a 10 mile route through some of the most spectacular riding country around the town, pausing at Foxford Parish Church at approximately 3.15pm for a stirrup cup and blessing.
