Recognition of 25 years’ service
Since he was commissioned as a Diocesan Lay Reader in 1985 Jim Perry estimates he has participated in more than 1,000 services and preached some 600 sermons.
For more than 25 years Jim has been an invaluable part of the ministry team in St Patrick’s Parish, Ballymena, helping out in his lay reader role by taking services when clergy are ill or on holiday.
To mark his faithful service to the church, Chancellor Stuart Lloyd presented Jim with a gift from the parish at September’s Living Faith service after Jim had preached yet another sermon!
