Bishop to take time off on doctor’s advice
The Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, will be taking some time off on health grounds.
This is on the advice of his doctor. Bishop Alan underwent major surgery in May and returned to work in August after a period of convalescence.
He will be on sick leave until further notice and during this time the Archdeacon of Connor, the Ven Dr Stephen McBride, will be Commissary.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bishop Alan as he strives towards full health.
