Lisburn city centre shoppers stopped to enjoy some wonderful music and celebrate the real meaning of Christmas in the open air on Saturday December 11.
The Community Carol Service took place around the Christmas tree in Market Square and featured some of the city’s finest instrumentalists, soloists and choirs.
Organised by Lisburn City Centre Ministers’ Fellowship in conjunction with Lisburn City Centre Management and Stephen McLoughlin of Music Matters, the service was conducted by the Rev Paul Dundas, rector of Christ Church Parish, with festive community praise led by Garvey Silver Band.
Also taking part were Lisburn Ladies Harmony Choir, Wallace High Junior Choir – Cantabile, soloist Clara Costley and readers from Lisburn’s seven city centre churches.
A street collection was taken for Tear Fund during the service.
