Discerning Direction seminar to run on January 26

Friday January 7th 2011

A Leading Edge seminar, Discerning Direction, which was postponed last November, will now take place in St Polycarp’s, Lisburn Road, Finaghy, on January 26.

The series of seminars are a follow-up to the recent ‘Challenge of Leadership’ conference. This is an opportunity for parishes to look more in-depth at key issues in development. Each session will have a maximum of six parishes attending (a minimum of two people and a maximum of three from each parish). Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis but if there is sufficient interest a second session will be organised.

Discerning Direction will explore the role of vision in the life of a church. Through presentations, case studies and discussion the day will describe why having a clear vision is so important, how it is developed and what roles a church's values, identity and purpose play in underpinning vision.

The seminar on January 26 will take place from 10am until 3.30pm with lunch provided. An application form can be downloaded here.
