The latest issue of Connor Connections, the magazine for the Diocese of Connor, is now available.
Articles include an interview with Nick Harding who is helping implement Connor’s project to develop ministry to children, and a look at how the Training Council, with the help of Christians Against Poverty (CAP), is offering practical help to people in the current economic climate.
The economy is hitting everyone hard, including our parishes, and the magazine also highlights suggestions by the Joint Committee of the Dioceses of Connor and Down and Dromore as to how parishes can increase their income.
There is a visit to Whiterock, where a new multi-purpose worship centre, located beside a new care home, was dedicated in January, and articles on Canon Edgar Turner’s 90th birthday surprise, and Canon Ken McReynolds’ record-breaking sermon – all five hours 50 minutes of it!
Connor Connections also highlights the success of the Commissioned Lay Ministry scheme in the diocese, the campaign to raise awareness of the January referendum for independence in Southern Sudan and prayers for continued peace there, and the latest news from Connor MU.
The magazine, which is free of charge, is available to all parishioners in Connor Diocese. It can be downloaded from the Publications section of this website, and anyone who would like a copy mailed to them can contact the Diocesan Communications Officer on dco@connor.anglican.org.
