The Church of the Good Shepherd, Monkstown, has organised a weekend conference on mission shaped discipleship.
This will take place at the Glenada Conference Centre, Newcastle, Co Down, from Friday June 17 to Sunday June 19.
The church has invited the Director of the Inspire Network UK, the Rev Dr Phil Meadows, and a small team of key people to address the conference. Inspire has grown phenomenally as a mission network in UK and USA in the last three years and is being eagerly adopted as an effective approach to intentional discipleship by all denominations.
Phil, his wife Sam who heads up KidsInspire, and a young couple Morna and Gary Allen will introduce mission shaped discipleship to key members of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
As an open session will take place on the afternoon of Saturday June 18 an invitation is extended to clergy, lay readers, youth and children's leaders as well as interested people from all parishes. The open session will run from 2pm-4.30pm, andlunch is available for £7 from 1pm at Glenada if requested in advance.
