The Parish of St Peter and St James will be marking its Patronal Saints’ Days which fall in the summer months with different events.
Parishioners will celebrate St Peter’s Day on Wednesday June 29 at Choral Evensong at 8pm, when the guest preacher will be the Rt Rev Michael Burrows, Bishop of Cashel and Ossory. The service will be followed by a wine and cheese reception in the hall.
On Sunday July 24 the parish will mark St James’s Day with Morning Prayer at 11am at which the guest speaker will be the Rev Dr Bert Tosh, senior producer of religious programmes for BBC Northern Ireland. The festivities will include a parish barbecue.
Another guest preacher to look forward to hearing at St Peter and St James will be the Rev Chris Bennett, one of two chaplains in the Titanic Quarter, who will share a bit about chaplaincy in this exciting area on Sunday June 19 at 11am.
