The launch of the Bishop of Connor’s new book is one of a number of events coming up at the Good Book Shop in Donegall Street, Belfast.
The Rt Rev Alan Abernethy will launch his book ‘Shadows on the Journey’ on Thursday September 22.
Other events to look out for at the Good Book Shop are:
Saturday September 17 – Festival of Hymns in Belfast Cathedral
For those who are going to the Hymn Society’s ‘Festival of Hymns’ in Belfast Cathedral, a reminder that the book shop will be open from 10am–3pm that day. Do please allow time to pop in for a coffee and to browse the books.
Thursday September 22 – KJV@4:00
4pm – The reading this afternoon, as part of an ongoing event to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, will be by former Ulster and Ireland rugby player Trevor Ringland.
This will be followed by the official launch of Bishop Alan Abernethy’s new book – ‘Shadows on the Journey’
Friday September 23 – KJV@4:00 and Culture Night
4pm– Our reading this afternoon will be by Very Rev John Mann, Dean of Belfast Cathedral.
7pm–10pm We will be open for business as part of this year’s Culture Night.
There will also be live music from ‘August County’ and the musicians from the Crossroads Church Craigantlet.

4pm – Our reading this afternoon will be by Bishop Ken Clarke, followed by the Belfast launch of his new book ‘Going for Growth.’
