Lisburn Cathedral marks European Heritage Open Days

Guides John Quigley and Michael Heaney (left) and Julian Netherton (right) pictured with some visitors at the recently renovated Christ Church Cathedral, Lisburn on European Heritage Open Day.Historic buildings, including many churches, opened their doors especially wide on Saturday September 10 as part of European Heritage Open Days.

Lisburn Cathedral was among the churches taking part. The annual event is organised by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and aims to encourage people of all ages to discover Northern Ireland’s rich and diverse architecture and heritage.
