CMS Ireland is hosting two Marketplace craft events selling items produced by its global partners.
The first takes place on Tuesday November 8 at CMS Ireland Belfast Offices, 33 Dargan Road, Belfast, at 7.30pm.
Marketplace not only brings together a wide range of hand–made crafts from CMS Ireland’s global partners, but also shares the stories behind these unique products.
CMSI has worked with craft programmes in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan and Nepal to provide a new range of beautiful products, including a variety of small gifts, cards, jewellery and Christmas items.
CMSI will also be launching ‘More Than Gifts’, its alternative gifts initiative, which offers gifts that support global partners in healthcare, education, family and church life.
There will also be craft–making demonstrations at the two events.
Marketplace helps to support women like Grace. Grace is part of the Kiwoko Hospital Craft Scheme. She uses local materials to produce beautiful bowls and mats to sell at the hospital compound. CMS Ireland is engaging with schemes like this through its global partners to bring crafts, and the stories behind them, to Ireland.
The second Marketplace event takes place on Thursday November 10 at Kill O’The Grange Parish, Dublin, at 7.30pm.
