Bishop of Connor set for Kenyan visit

Bishop Alan presents his friend Bishop Taama with a plaque during his last visit to Kajiado in 2009.The Bishop of Connor will spend a week in Kenya in early December where he will join his good friend Bishop Jeremiah Taama as he preaches his final service as Bishop of Kajiado.

During his visit, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy will also attend the Kajiado Clergy Conference, and help in famine relief projects.

Bishop Alan was last in Kajiado two years ago when he and a team from Connor Diocese were speakers at the 2009 clergy conference – the first to be held in Bishop Taama’s 13 years at Bishop.

Bishop Alan has been a close personal friend of Bishop Taama for many years, and he is honoured to be participating in the Bishop’s last service before retirement.
