More time to order Diamond Jubilee New Testaments

Wednesday May 2nd 2012

Due to demand, the deadline for orders for New Testaments to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee has been extended.

A number of Connor parishes have already ordered the New Testaments which have been commissioned b the Church of England.

They are to be distributed at schools, churches, street parties and other Diamond Jubilee events.

The Bibles come in two designs – the Union Jack and the Royal Arms – and a pack of 50 copies cost just £25.

The Bible includes eight pages of images from the Coronation and the Queen’s life, linking her 60 year reign and her Christian faith. There is a suggested reading section with Bible references on various topics, and a clear guide for readers.

Parishes are urged to give as many of these Bibles away as possible as the nation celebrates.

Copies can be ordered by by emailing Lynn.robinson@biblica.com. Full details relating to the Union Jack themed Bible can be downloaded here, or Royal Arms themed Bible here.

A Service to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee will be held in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, at 11am on Sunday June 3. Further details will be available closer to the time.
