MU ladies brave the elements to complete marathon walk

Wednesday May 9th 2012

Wet and cold but delighted to have finished the marathon walkRain, wind and bitter cold did not deter the hardy ladies from Connor Mothers’ Union from their annual nine mile hike as part of the Belfast Marathon.

Every year the ladies put their best feet forward to complete the May Day marathon walk and raise money for MU funds.

Congratulations to all those who took part this year, and we hope Kathleen Rodgers is recovering from a bump on the head she acquired when she walked into a lamppost while looking at her mobile phone en route.

She received great sympathy from her fellow walkers as these photographs by Loraine Watt reveal!
S much for sympathy. Kathleen and her fellow walkers after the collision with the lamppost!
