MU Young Members encouraged to Get Away!
The Mothers; Union Young Members’ Get Away 2012 takes place over the weekend of October 12–13 at the City North Hotel, Julianstown (junction 7 off the M1 Belfast to Dublin).
The theme is ‘Discover and Celebrate.’ Everyone has been bestowed with a natural gift or gifts but often don’t recognise them or are reluctant, for various reasons, to use them.
It is hoped that by the end of the weekend young members will be celebrating the discovery of their many and varied gifts, how they all complement each other and how by using them they can help keep the Mothers’ Union vibrant and alive for another 125 years!
The cost for the weekend per delegate is £100 or €110 (this includes dinner, bed & breakfast, buffet lunch on Saturday and all activities). Completed booking forms and FULL monies must be received by Jean Thompson no later than September 28.
Jean said: “The aim of this get away is to bring young members together to give each other support but also to widen the appeal of Mothers’ Union to young women, so if you have attended before and are coming back this year then why not encourage someone who hasn’t been before to come along and enjoy this introduction to Mothers’ Union.
“Also, if no–one from your parish has attended before maybe this is the year to really get out there and support and encourage some of your young women to give it a go. “
