Building Blocks Children’s Ministry Conferences

Wednesday October 24th 2012

A reminder that the Building Blocks Conferences for children’s ministry leaders and clergy 2012 will take place in Ballymena and Dublin on November 17 and 24.

The Church of Ireland Board of Education NI and the Sunday School Society for Ireland have been part of the organising group since the inception of the conferences in 2002.

Keynote speakers bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and personal insight into children’s ministry, and participants are challenged by a wide range of seminars relevant to their area of work with children.

There is also the opportunity to view and purchase a wide range of resources.

The Ballymena Conference will take place at Wellington Presbyterian Church, Ballymena, on Saturday November 17. The cost is £25. The Dublin Conference is being held in All Hallows College, Drumcondra, on November 24 and the fee is €35.

This year the keynote speaker is Bob Hartman, who has been working for many years as a children’s story teller. His style is exciting, engaging and interactive and he is the author of many Bible story books for children and adults.

A wide range of seminars include: All–age worship; connecting with parents; crafty ideas; games factory; Messy Church; music for the unmusical; including children with special needs; working with foreign national children and much more.

The conference is run in conjunction with the Church of Ireland Children’s Ministry course which will run from October to April. For more information on the new course contact Lynda Levis on 00353 1 4605543 or email lyndalevis@theologicalinstitute.ie.
