Full house for Bishop Alan’s second Lent talk

It was another full house for the Bishop of Connor’s second Lenten Talk for 2013, which took place in the parish halls at St Patrick’s, Jordanstown.

Bishop Alan Abernethy’s topic for this Lent series is the Ministry of Healing, and the Bishop looked at contrasting attitudes within the church to this ministry and highlighted some Biblical reflections, looked at healing and the Kingdom of God, suggested some ways we can seek help in this area, and shared his own thoughts on the Ministry of Healing.

There was time for refreshment and fellowship as members of different parishes in the Belfast area enjoyed this opportunity to get together.

Bishop Alan Lent series continues with a talk on Monday February 25 in Christ Church, Lisburn (Church).

Helen Clark, Barbara Turkington and Emily Turkington at the Bishop's Lent seminar in St Patrick's, Jordanstown.The focus then turns to worship and Bishop Alan will lead Lent services on Tuesday March 5 in St John the Baptist, Bushmills; Monday March 11 in St Patrick, Jordanstown; and Tuesday March 19 in Christ Church, Lisburn.
