George Cross presented to St Saviour’s, Connor

The police station has now closed, and the presentation was made to St Saviour’s during the annual Remembrance Service for the Ulster Defence Regiment and Royal Irish Regiment Colours & Windows Association took place in the church.

Mr Stephen Montgomery, Deputy Lieutenant of Co Antrim, and his wife attended the service, as did other Council Leaders from the various Council areas in County Antrim.

The presentation was made by Mr James Leslie Ex RUC GC. The preacher at the service was the rector of St Saviour’s, Connor, the Rev Ian Magowan who was assisted during the service by the Rev Dr Paul Reid. Afterwards supper was served in the Parish Hall.
