A group of 38 parishioners and friends from the grouped parishes of Ardclinis, Tickmacrevan, Layde and Cushendun had a wonderful day out on Saturday May 25.
The first stop was at Linen Green, Dungannon, for coffee and shopping! Then it was on to Colebrooke Parish Church in Co Fermanagh for a Festival of Flowers celebrating 250 years of worship.
The group enjoyed a beautiful meal supplied by the ladies of Colebrooke Parish. After lunch the day–trippers travelled the short distance to Colebrooke House, the home of Lord and Lady Brookeborough who were both in attendance.
Lord Brookeborough gave a brief history of the house and family, and after a tour of both house and gardens the group made their way home to the glens.
The rector, the Rev Helen MacArthur, said: “It was a great day out and blessed with beautiful weather too.”
