Counselling charity seeks volunteers in north Belfast

Tuesday August 20th 2013

Jigsaw.Jigsaw Community Counselling Centre, which provides counselling and support to the north Belfast community, is seeking volunteers.

In September the charity is starting a new mentoring and drop–in project called ‘MenU’ which is aimed at men and women who are or have previously experienced problems with self harming.

Annie McIntyre from Jigsaw said: “We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help run our program. We believe that this might be an excellent opportunity for people who are looking to gain experience of working with adults with mental health issues. It could also be an excellent opportunity for a retired person who wants to give something back to their community.”

Anyone interested coming to volunteer should get in touch via the www.volunteernow.co.uk site (Jigsaw projects are listed under ‘Mentoring’ and ‘Care/support’) or email jigsawccc.gmail.com to request an application pack.
