Alastair Donaldson, a Church of Ireland ordinand who is running 52 marathons this summer to spread God’s Word, is running through Connor Diocese this week.
Alastair reached Connor on Friday when he ran into Coleraine from Londonderry. On Saturday he ran to Ballycastle, then after a break on Sunday is continuing his amazing feat by running on to Belfast via Carnlough, Ballymena and Carrickfergus.
Look out for him between Ballycastle and Carnlough on Monday, between Carnlough and Ballymena on Tuesday, between Ballymena and Carrickfergus on Wednesday and between Carrick and Belfast on Thursday August 22.
Alastair will leave Belfast on Friday on the final leg of his marathon which is scheduled to finish in his home town of Crossmaglen on August 29.
Alastair’s Run4Christ website ( http://www.run4christ.org/) states that the run is ‘an initiative seeking to expose many people on the island of Ireland to the amazing Good News of Jesus Christ; His death, resurrection and ascension; and what it means for their own lives.’
International Mission Agency Crosslinks is partnering Alastair in his endeavor.
Alastair welcomes company from anyone wishing to run with him en route. If you join him for a few miles as he passes through Connor please send us a photo!
